Obituary of Marjory H. Lowery

Marjory Lowery, 92, was called home by the Lord on August 10, 2014. Born in Newark, OH in 1922 to the late Donald & Grace Helmkee, Marjory was a lifetime Akron resident and graduate of South High School. She was a mom to many in the International Order of Rainbow for Girls, for whom she served as a state and international officer. She was a mentor and loving influence to many young woman. She was a member of the Anna Dean Chapter O.E.S. Marjory was a member of Life Spring Christian Church, where she served as a Deaconess. In addition to her parents, Marjory was preceded in death by her husband James in 2010; grandsons: twins Bradley & Burton, Chas, & Kurt; son-in-law Harry Hall; siblings Donna, Joann, & Donald. She is survived by her daughters Sandra Hall and Rebecca (Gilbert) Hart; grandchildren Kelly (Jim) Beavers, Kevin Hall, Leah (John) McGraw, Kristan (Troy) Spear, Kathy (Andy) King, Aaron (Megan) Hart; great-grandchildren Drew (Cassie), Rachel, Laura, Kayla, Payton, Myles, Gabrielle, Grant, Savannah, Max, Luke, & Danielle; sisters Jane Flower and Joyce Bender. The family will receive friends on Friday, from 5-8 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. Funeral services will take place on Saturday at 12:00 pm at the funeral home, where the family will again receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Lockwood Cemetery.
