Obituary of Marjory H. Lowery

Marjory Lowery, 92, was called home by the Lord on August 10, 2014. Born in Newark, OH in 1922 to the late Donald & Grace Helmkee, Marjory was a lifetime Akron resident and graduate of South High School. She was a mom to many in the International Order of Rainbow for Girls, for whom she served as a state and international officer. She was a mentor and loving influence to many young woman. She was a member of the Anna Dean Chapter O.E.S. Marjory was a member of Life Spring Christian Church, where she served as a Deaconess. In addition to her parents, Marjory was preceded in death by her husband James in 2010; grandsons: twins Bradley & Burton, Chas, & Kurt; son-in-law Harry Hall; siblings Donna, Joann, & Donald. She is survived by her daughters Sandra Hall and Rebecca (Gilbert) Hart; grandchildren Kelly (Jim) Beavers, Kevin Hall, Leah (John) McGraw, Kristan (Troy) Spear, Kathy (Andy) King, Aaron (Megan) Hart; great-grandchildren Drew (Cassie), Rachel, Laura, Kayla, Payton, Myles, Gabrielle, Grant, Savannah, Max, Luke, & Danielle; sisters Jane Flower and Joyce Bender. The family will receive friends on Friday, from 5-8 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. Funeral services will take place on Saturday at 12:00 pm at the funeral home, where the family will again receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Lockwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ohio Grand Assembly Scholarship Fund c/o the funeral home; or if you prefer, the Life Spring Christian Church 1828 Marigold Akron, OH 44301. Visitation
