Obituary of Ian Michael Houk

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Ian M. Houk, 26 passed away unexpectedly Friday, July 18, 2014. Ian was a bright, intelligent, caring young man with a great sense of humor. He meant everything to us and we feel privileged to have known him for the short time he was here. He will be dearly missed. Ian was preceded in death by his father Eric L. Houk; grandparents Fran and Earl Houk, Phyllis and Joe Labbe and Irene Yamokoski and his aunt Marilyn Labbe. He is survived by his mom and dad Sandy and Mike Yamokoski; grandfather Tony Yamokoski; aunts and uncles Frank and Sher Labbe, Sue and Jeff Moorehead, Sharon and Mike Shaffer, Joe and Diana Labbe, Margaret and Jeff Lindenberger and Susan and Jeff Sherrin; his many cousins; and his pets Jean-Tom, Sam, Ziggy and Max. He also leaves behind many close and loyal friends. The family is especially grateful to his friend Lia, a Hygienist for Dr. Folatko, for her kindness and friendship and to Dr. Timothy Myer of the Crystal Clinic for his compassion and skill. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home MCGOWAN, REID AND SANTOS CHAPEL, 247 Stow Ave., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221 (corner of Third and Stow, one block north of Portage Trail). A Funeral Service will follow at 8 pm which will include time for family and friends to share memories. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family c/o the funeral home.
