Obituary of Joseph E. Taray

Joseph E. Taray, 80, of Green, died October 26, 2012 at Hospice Care Center. He was born on St. Valentine's Day, February 14th, 1932 in Akron to John and Mary Taray. He was a retiree of Gen. Corp and was a veteran of the Korean War in the 780th Field Artillery Battalion. He was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and had been an Eucharistic Minister. The two loves of his life were his family and his faith. He was a friend to everyone he met and would never shy away from a chance to help someone out. There was nothing that he could not fix and he was never short of something funny to say. Whether you needed a flashlight, a battery or a great cup of coffee, he was always prepared. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary Ann; daughters, Jeannine (Tim) Titus, Janice Southerland, Kathleen Taray, Julie (James) Barlow; grandchildren, Daniel (Katie), Shawn, Shannon, Valerie (Jason), Marie; three great-grandchildren; as well as brothers, Tom (Marlene), Mike (Sara); and sister, Helen. Thanks to Akron General and Hospice Care Center.
