Obituary of Steve T. Pektor

Steve T. Pektor, 93, passed away on Friday, July 11, 2014 at the Hospice of Medina County. Steve was born in Akron on December 16, 1920 to Carl and Ethel Pinczes. He married Marie Brown in 1947, and worked for B. F. Goodrich in the tire division for 40 years. Steve was a longtime member of St. Paul Catholic Church. Steve was preceded in death by his Marie, his wife of 52 years. He is survived by his nieces Nancy (Marty) Richards & Susie (Scott) Hearty; great nephew and nieces John (Julie) Murgatroyd, Tammy Hupp, and Melissa (Howard) McGaffney; many beloved great-great nieces and nephews; and special friends Irene and Ray Guenther. The Family will receive friends and family on Wednesday, July 16 from 6-8 PM at the Anthony Funeral Homes, KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 South Main St. in Akron. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, July 17 at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1580 Brown St. in Akron.
