Obituary of Inga Lilly DeVlieger

Inga Lilly DeVlieger, 92, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Akron City Hospital. She was born November 18, 1919 to Carl and Oda (Hansen) DeVlieger in Copenhagen, Denmark. Survived by daughter, Peggy Lee Branney of Akron; son, Terry (Nancy) DeVlieger of Largo, Fla.; nine grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; sisters Lillian (Don) Rinedollar of Florida and Thelma (Joseph) Aiken of Geneva, Ill.; brother, Axel Nielsen; sisters-in-law, Barbara Nielsen of Florida and Marilyn Nielsen of Iowa; and was preceded by her husband, Julian; and brothers, Harry and Jack Nielsen She was a member of New Life Episcopal Church and the Danish Sisterhood. She was a three time gold medalist in swimming in the YMCA Senior Olympics.
