Obituary of Anne M. Cooley
Anne M. Cooley, 88, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2012 at the Village of St. Edward.
Anne was born January 21, 1924 to George and Katherine (Capic) Gera in Ambridge, Pa. and had been an Akron resident since 1964. She was employed by Hygenic Dental as the export manager for over 25 years, retiring in 1990. She was a faithful member of Christ the King Catholic Church where she was a Eucharistic Minister and Lector as well as a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and the Ladies Guild.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gerald in 1991; sisters, Mary (Gera) Didich and Helen Gera; brothers, John and Nick Gera; and is survived by her sons, Michael (Lesley) Cooley, Jeffrey (Peggy) Cooley and Mark Cooley; grandchildren, Matthew (Michelle) Cooley, Michela (John) Toaddy, Jennifer Moore, Jackie (Bob) Lucey, Rebecca Cooley, Kimberly (Adam) Chaser, Joseph Cooley; great-grandchildren, Bobby, Maddie and Jack Lucey, Olivia Moore, Michael Stein, Hudson and Bryce Toaddy; siblings, Irene (Romaniak) Binder and Michael (Peggy) Romaniak.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. on Friday at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 1800 Steese Rd. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Village of St. Edward, 3131 Smith Road, Fairlawn, OH 44333.
