Obituary of Vera Bqrbqra Utterback

Vera Barbara Utterback, 85, passed away Friday, February 24, 2012 with her family by her side. Vera was born November 25, 1926 to Anton and Marie (Bida) Djanchko in the Ukraine. She came to the United States December 13, 1949 and to Akron in 1957. She was a baker for the M. O'Neil Co. for over 26 years retiring in 1985. Vera was a faithful member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, the Altar Aid Society and the RBO and had spent countless hours working with her friends cooking and baking for the support of her church. Vera was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William in 1983; and is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara Marie and Jimmy Jackson of Akron and their children, Rhyesa Marie and William Basil Jackson. Special thanks goes to the staff of the Visiting Nurse Service and the VNS Hospice Care Center, especially to Patty, Jen ,Bethany, Lisa, Debbie, Sandy, Margie, Patty Kay, Irene and the rest of the angels. Funeral services will be held Tuesday 11 a.m. at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 755 Portage Line Road, Mogadore, OH 44260 (just north of the intersection of Rtes. 224 and 532). Fr. Nicholas Wyslutsky officiating. Interment St. Nicholas Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday 4 to 7 p.m. AT THE CHURCH, where a Parastas service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Additional receiving Tuesday 10 a.m. until time of services.
