Obituary of David M. Lake

David M. Lake, 35, passed away peacefully in his sleep January 19, 2012. David loved spending time with his children more than anything. He enjoyed playing soccer and watching sports, especially The Fighting Irish. He also loved spending time with his family and friends. David was a lifelong resident of Akron and a graduate of Garfield High School class of 94. David was preceded in death by his father, John D. Lake; grandparents, Johnny C. and Leona Lake, John and Barbara Klein. David leaves behind his beautiful, loving children, Tyler, Andrew, Haylee, and Dawson; wife, Jessica; and stepdaughter, Ezra. He is survived by his loving mother, Katherine; brothers, Johnny (Bobbie) Lake, Paul (Lori) Lake; sister, Amanda Lake; aunts and uncles, Robert (Dorothy) Lake, Sylvia Lake, Adam (Larue) Klein, Madeline (John, deceased) Brown, Annette (Eugene) Brady, Paul (Peggie) Klein, John (Susan) Klein; niece and nephew, Morgan and Landen Lake. He will be missed by many cousins and friends, good friend, Bill Bower; and especially lifelong friend, like a brother, Ronnie Kennedy. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, 10:45 a.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Green Chapel, 4178 Massillon Rd. (corner of Steese and Massillon Rds. entrance off Steese) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral Home. In lieu of flowers you may donate to David Lake Children Benevolent Fund at any First Merit bank.
