Obituary of Marlin R. Porcher

Marlin R. Porcher, 91, passed away on the date of his 67th Wedding Anniversary, Thursday, July 3, 2014. He was born in Akron and retired from United Plate Glass in 1989. Mr. Porcher was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the World War II era. He was an avid boater and model train enthusiast and was a member of the Goodyear Boat Club. He was preceded in death by his parents Jesse and Anna (Troxel) Porcher; and sister, Margie Porcher. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Katherine (Long) Porcher; daughter, Anna Porcher; and several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Mary Ellen Selle and to the Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, 11 a.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home McGowan-Reid & Santos Chapel, 247 Stow Ave. (one block North of Portage Trail at 3rd St.) Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44221. Rev.
