Obituary of Franklin Earl Rayman
Franklin Earl Rayman, 94, went home to be with the Lord on March 12 at Heather Knoll Care Center.
Born in Connellsville, Pa. on June 19, 1916 to the late Frank and Edith Rayman, Frank had been a Stow resident for most of his life and was a graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School. He worked as a maintenance mechanic for Goodyear Aerospace, retiring in 1971. He was a member of the Riverwood Community Chapel and the Stow Senior Citizens. A skilled craftsman who loved to work with his hands, Frank built three homes in his lifetime.
In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Oliveth, whom he married January 26, 1938, as well as his sister, Marguerite Clemens and son-in-law, Ted Reed. He is survived by his son, William of Hartville; daughters and sons-in-law, Gladys and Calvin Rydbom of Stow and Nancy (Reed) and Carl Capps of Kent; brother and sister-in-law, George and Velna Rayman of Richmond, Minn.; as well as seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted by Rev. Barry French on Friday at 1 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Homes MCGOWAN-REID & SANTOS CHAPEL (at 3rd St., one block north of Portage Trail in Cuyahoga Falls), where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Griefcare Place, 4499 Darrow Rd., Stow, OH 44224.
