Obituary of Robert Enabnit

Robert Enabnit, 91, passed away on December 20, in Akron. Born in Manly, Iowa on October 10, 1919, Robert was a 1941 graduate of the University of Iowa, a member of Phi Beta Kappa and the Phi Lambda Upsilon fraternity, and the University of Iowa Highlanders Bagpipe Band. Robert was an Akron resident since 1943. He worked as a research physicist for Goodyear Research, retiring in 1983 after 43 years. He authored nearly 100 patents during that time. Family was an important focus in his life. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Olda Enabnit; wife, Martha, and son, Paul. He is survived by his son, David of Chevy Chase, MD and daughter, Eileen Enabnit of Cincinnati, Ohio. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, December 29, at 12 p.m., at the Anthony Funeral Home, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron, where the family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will follow at St. Nicholas Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Nicholas Orthodox Church.
