Obituary of Diane Olge Velemirov

Diane Velemirov, 93, went home to be with the Lord on December 22, at Heatherknoll in Tallmadge. Born in Akron on May 21, 1917 to the late Arkadia and Maria Velemirov, Diane had been a lifetime Akron resident. She retired from L.K. Architect & Engineers. In addition to her parents; Diane was preceded in death by her brother, Danilo and sisters, Eva Garick, Violet Keith, and Vida Velemirov; nieces, Yvonne Pope and Diane Mergenov. She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Passmore; nieces and nephews, Michael Velemirov, Danielle Otterman, Milana (Robert) Estrada, Steve (Sandi) Pope, Laurence (Sylvia) Pope, Douglas (Sally) Keith, Tom Keith, Jacquin (Joe) Mann, Lauren Tinapple, Karen (Gary) Higby, Melinda Keith, Mala (John) Passmore-Strong, and Randy (Melodie) Passmore, as well as many, many other great-nieces and nephews. Private funeral services will take place with Fr. Dragomir Tuba officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Akron. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Archangel Michael Serbian Orthodox Church.
