Obituary of Mary Caroline Shuttleworth
Mary Caroline Shuttleworth, 83, of Akron, passed away June 20, 2014.
Born in Bayonne, New Jersey on November 4, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Clotylda Szczepanski, who were immigrants from Poland. She was a graduate of Barberton High School and lived her entire life in the Akron area. She retired in 1995 after 30 years of service as an office worker for Roadway Express. Mary was a proud and loving grandmother, and very devoted to her sisters. She was a very active participant in her retirement years at the senior centers and clubs where she belonged.
She was the wife of the late Ronald C. Shuttleworth for 25 years (having divorced in 1975). Mary is survived by her four sons, Kerry A. Shuttleworth, Ronald C. Shuttleworth, David L. Shuttleworth (Deborah A.), and Patrick N. Shuttleworth (Rhonda M.); and, six grandchildren, Christopher L. Shuttleworth, Daniel L. Shuttleworth, Kelly L. Shuttleworth, Tyler P. Shuttleworth, Kaitlyn R. Shuttleworth, and Kevin M. Shuttleworth. She is also survived by her sister Genevieve Borsos and twenty-two nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 24 at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 25 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron.
