Obituary of Mary Korach
Mary Korach, 65, passed away Saturday, November 27, 2010 at the VNS Hospice Care Center.
She was born November 12, 1945 to Miko and Vojislava (Bulatovic) Covich in Montenegro, Serbia and came to the United States in 1969 and to Akron in 1978. She was an interpreter and supervisor for JR Wheels until 1989. Mary was a member of St. Demetrius Serbian Orthodox Church where her late husband Very Rev. Fr. Milovan Korach served until his death in 2006.
Mary is survived by her motherm Vojislava Covich; children, Lela (Ned) Novakovich of Barberton, Mike (Cindy) Korach of New Franklin and Alex of Barberton; grandchildren, Michael, Nicholas and Jacob Korach and Danilo and Nina Novakovich; great-grandson, Nicholas Scott Korach; and brother, Milja (Milica) Chovich of S. St. Paul, Minn.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, 11 a.m. at St. Demetrius Serbian Orthodox Church, 3106 Ridgewood Road, Fairlawn, OH 44333, where her remains will lie in state one hour prior to service. Interment at St. Mark Cemetery in Lorain. The family will receive friends Friday, 4 to 8 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St., Akron, where a Parastas service will be held at Friday at 7:30 p.m. Donations may be made to St. Demetrius or St. Mark Serbian Orthodox Church, 1434 Lake Breeze Road, Sheffield Village, OH 44054-2526.
