Obituary of Danny Hudson
Danny Hudson, 66, went home to be with the Lord on November 16.
Born in Dunbar, W. Va. on February 14, 1944, to Wayne and Juanita Hudson, Danny had been an area resident for most of his life. He was a 1962 graduate of Springfield High School. Danny proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He worked for the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. until his division was sold to Shell Chemical, where he retired from in 1998. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church.
Danny was preceded in death by his father, Wayne and his father-in-law, Walter Lawver, Sr. He is survived by his devoted wife of 40 years, Martha; children, Heather (Roger) Drayer and Charles (Kristi Bagwell) Hudson, all of Akron; grandchildren, Paige and Payten Hudson and Austin and Alex Drayer; mother-in-law, Ruth Lawver; brother-in-law, Walt (Kathy) Lawver, Jr. and sister-in-law, Judy (Don) Ellesin; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses on the 4th floor at Canal Pointe and also those of Tridia Hospice for the compassionate care that was given to Danny.
A memorial service will take place on Friday at 11 a.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Inurnment of Ashes will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Akron.
