Obituary of Marie J. LaVechia
Marie J. LaVechia, 92, went home to be with the Lord on October 9, at Akron City Hospital.
Born in Mount Braddock, Pa. on December 18, 1917 to the late Michael and Kathryn Utlak, Marie had been an Akron resident for over ten years. She had previously resided in both Illinois and Indiana. Marie was a member of St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church.
In addition to her parents; Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph and siblings, Michael, sister Michael, Anne, Victor, and father, Eugene. She is survived by her brother, Ted Utlak Sr. of Akron; sister, Kay (Andrew) Chemsak of Pa.; as well as many loving neices and nephews.
The family will receive friends TODAY from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron, where a Parastas will take place at 7 p.m. A Divine Liturgy will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church in Akron. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Michael Church.
