Obituary of Ann D. Christ

Ann D. Christ Ann Christ, 96, passed away on June 15, 2014. Born in Sharon, PA on December 1, 1917, Ann was an area resident for over 80 years. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Akron for over 65 years, where she was a member of the Ladies Guild & the St. Clement Study Club. She was also a member of the Catholic Order of Forresters. Ann was preceded in death by her husband Michael, her daughter Carol Christ Brodbeck, and grandson William Christ; special friends Helen & Kenny Ward. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law David & Mikki Christ of Akron; son-in-law Robert Brodbeck of Akron; granddaughters Carrie (Brian) Smith & Julie (Adam) Strader both of Akron; grandsons Daniel (Eva) Brodbeck of Fayettesville, NC & Patrick Brodbeck of Washington D.C. great-granddaughters Addie, Caroline, Isabella, & Nina; sister-in-law Lucille Hlas of Hubbard, OH; special friends Kathy Drexler, Mary DiDonato, as well as many special nieces & nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 6-8 pm, at the Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, 11:00 am, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1580 Brown St. Akron, OH 44301. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Catholic Church and Open M Ministries 941 Princeton St. Akron, OH 44311.
