Obituary of Marian Louella Allen

Marian Louella Allen, 77, passed away on June 8, at the Ridgewood Health Care Center in Copley. Born in Bedford, Pa. on December 29, 1932 to the late Harry and Sarah Ritchey, Marian had been an Akron resident since 1952. She retired as a waitress in 1977 from Kippy's restaurant, where she had worked for 22 years. She was a member of the Akron Blind Center. In addition to her parents, Marian was preceded in death by her husband, Walter in 2004; son-in-law, Albert Cross; sisters, Lois Magaha and Ethel Siko; and brother, Harry Ritchey. Marian, who devoted her life to her family, is survived by daughters, Ella Cross and Barbara Allen; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Michelle Allen; brothers, Donald (Fae) Ritchey and Earl (Kathy) Ritchey; sisters, Edna Csonka, Anna Mae (Jesse) Peterson, Carol Wagster, and Jane (Carl) Holler; grandchildren, Christina Piercy, Kelly Cross, Jennifer Allen, and Kyle Allen; great-grandchildren, Miranda, Jessica, Haley, and Vincent; great-great-grandson, Dylan. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron, where a funeral service will take place at 4 p.m. Interment will take place on Monday at 11 a.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Akron Blind Center Membership.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron, where a funeral service will take place at 4 p.m. Interment will take place on Monday at 11 a.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
