Obituary of Richard Allen Graham

Richard Allen Graham passed away on Friday, May 30, 2014, at the Hospice Care Center in Akron. Richard was born on March 17, 1938 to the late Joseph and Mamie Graham, and was a lifelong resident of Green. He was a proud veteran of the 42nd Army Airborne Division, serving overseas during the Vietnam Conflict. Richard was a master craftsman and a mason by trade. He was a fisherman, boater, carpenter, car-buff, and a Jack-of-all-trades. He was the most decent man a person could ever hope to meet; His joyful spirit will be missed. He truly was one in a million. Richard was a devoted & beloved husband to Leslie (nee Herold); encourager and inspiration to stepchildren Jennifer (Jeff) Glancy, Jim (Becky) Goin, Matt (Kelly) Goin, Michelle (Mike) Alldredge, and Jen Ratzer; most beloved 'Pa' to Madison, Westley, Ellie, Reese, Jo-Jo, Emma and Lil Jimmy. He is also survived by his siblings Ray (Karren) Graham and Alice (Bob) Monteith; brothers-in-law Jim (Julie) Herold, George Herold, & Vince (Lisa) Herold; sisters-in-law Colette Herold, Tricia (Chris) Staples, and Bobi Herold; as well a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his sister Carol Hussey. The family is grateful to the Hospice Care Center nurses and staff for their constant care and compassion during Richard's last days. They are especially grateful to the manager, Jodi Wagner, who was a great support during this time. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, June 3, at the Anthony Funeral Homes, Anthony & Son Chapel, 4178 Massillon Road, in Green, where the family will receive friends and family for an hour prior. Visitation

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, June 3, at the Anthony Funeral Homes, Anthony & Son Chapel, 4178 Massillon Road, in Green, where the family will receive friends and family for an hour prior. Interment will follow at Greensburg Cemetery.
