Obituary of Minnie Stemple
Minnie Stemple, 90, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2014 in Akron.
Minne was born on March 5, 1924 to Conrad and Lois Bisson in Ravenna. She married H. Neal Stemple in 1946. They raised three children in Akron, Ohio. Minnie was a lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary, a member at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, and the Prime Timers. She worked at Firestone Tire and Rubber Company for 26 years and bowled with her good friend Darlene Burt and daughter, Suzanne, on the Firestone league for over 30 years. Her greatest joy in life was having her family and her little dog Corky gathered around her. Minnie's legacy was teaching us the value of family.
Minnie was preceded in death by her husband H. Neal; and son Gregory Neal Stemple and five brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughters Jeanne (Roger) Young and Suzanne (Gary) Mourton; Grandchildren Kurtis (Farrah) Stemple, Lisa Stemple, Andrew (Lauren) Young, Scott (Elsie) Young, Jeffery (Brooke) Mourton, Erin (Justin) Ingham, and Christopher Mourton; and she was "Double-G" to eight great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends and family Thursday from 6-8 PM at the Anthony Funeral Homes, Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Friday, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2101 17th St. SW, in Akron. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
