Obituary of Stanojka 'Baba' Pantic
Stanojka "Baba" Pantic, 85, passed away on April 29, 2014.
Stanojka was born in Kragujerac, Serbia. She came to the United States with her husband, Miladin, in June of 1966. She worked at Belgrade Gardens before retiring from Melch's. Stanojka was an active member, as well as a founding member, of Sts. Peter & Paul Serbian Orthodox Church in Norton, Ohio. She was a proud member of the Kolo Sestara, as evident in her selfless devotion. You could always find her in the kitchen for every event making her famous Krofne.
Preceded in death by her husband, Miladin; sisters Ruza Vedeljkovic and Rada Stojadinovic. Stanojka is survived by her children, Milan and Lynn Pantic; grandchildren Kristina Galindo and Nicholas Pantic; great-grandchildren Samuel and Andrea Galindo; and siblings Milutin Stojadinovic of Akron and Ljubinka Vulovic of Serbia.
The family will receive friends and family on Wednesday from 5-8 PM at the Anthony Funeral Home, Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM on Thursday, at the Sts. Peter and Paul Serbian Orthodox Church, 3532 Clark Mill Rd. in Norton. Interment will follow at Lakewood Cemetery.
