Obituary of Tony R Zuchowski
Tony Zuchowski, 62, loving husband & father, passed away suddenly, after a courageous battle with neurological disease.
Born in Grafton, WV on November 5, 1951 to Bernard & Betty Zuchowski, Tony lived most of his life in the Akron area. He attended Garfield High School and worked in many trades. He retired from AMHA in 2012. His passion was carpentry and was a skilled worker with his hands. He also enjoyed restoring old cars and could fix anything. He was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Tony loved fishing, camping, and hiking.
Most of all, Tony loved his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Ruth; his children Jessica (Daryl) Quentin, Tony (Katie), & Tim (Amity); grandsons Trent & Luke; mother Betty Zuchowski; siblings Judy (Bob) King, Bernard Zuchowski, Barbara Tanner, & David Zuchowski; loving mother-in-law Mary Keblesh & brothers & sisters-in-law Joseph (Annie) Keblesh, Jr., John Keblesh, James (Patty) Keblesh, Timothy Keblesh, Thomas (Barb) Keblesh, Anthony Keblesh, & Mary Margaret Keblesh, as well as many other nieces, nephews, extended family members, & friends. Tony was preceded in death by his father Bernard Zuchowski, father-in-law Joseph Keblesh, grandson Anthony, sister-in-law Linda Keblesh, Aunt Sis & Uncle Chub, and his loving grandmothers.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 4-8 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. David Bline on Thursday at 10:30 am at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church 4019 Manchester Rd. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
