Obituary of Mary A. Wallace
Mary A. Wallace, 87, fell asleep in the Lord Friday, January 6, 2012.
She was born in Farrell, Pennsylvania and was a lifetime member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church. Mrs. Wallace was employed at Akron City Hospital Labor and Delivery Unit and was secretary for the Akron P.T.A. for the hearing handicapped. She liked to cook and was a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Julia Totea; husband, John Wallace in 1981; son, Mark S. Wallace in 2011; and brothers, Samuel and John Totea. She is survived by sons, Chuck (Peggy), John (Janet) and Joseph Wallace; sisters, Eleanor (Matt) Stefanik, Katherine (Steve) Barth and Josephine (Art) Gardner; grandchildren, Christopher (Megan) Wallace, Sheri (Jason) McMahon and Mark (Angela) Wallace, Jr.; and great-grandchildren, Lana and Lex McMahon, and Audrey, Freddy, Parker, Kaitlin and Rachel Wallace.
Funeral service will be held Monday, 11 a.m. at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Mogadore where Mary will lie in state one hour prior to service. Very Rev. Fr. Nicholas Wyslutsky officiating. Interment at St. Nicholas Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, 4 to 8 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S.
