Obituary of Mary Ann Minrovic
Mary Ann Minrovic, 88, passed away Thursday January 9, 2014 at the Hospice Care Center.
Mary Ann was born August 28, 1925 to Steve and Mary (Hricisak) Lesho in Hecla, Pennsylvania and had been an Akron resident since 1945. She was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church and a former member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She was a member of the St. John Ladies Guild and Altar and Rosary Society. She was also a member of Jednota Branch 553, Sokol Wreath 43, the Firestone Park Primetimers and was Past President of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary #3410. She enjoyed an active life especially golfing (with the Dirty Dozen) and bowling. Mary Ann cherished her time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchild. She was involved in their activities and even took them sled riding in recent years.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her beloved husband Frank in 1984 and sisters Veronica Lesho and Regina (Mike) Skwara. She is survived by her sons Kenneth (Patricia) and Michael (Cindy) Minrovic; grandchildren Stephanie (Brandon) Beeson, Martin (Kimberly) Minrovic, Kristen (fiancé Sean) Minrovic and Kimberly, Brandon, Bryan and Bradley Minrovic; great grandchildren Leo Minrovic and one soon to be born; siblings Joseph (Norma) Lesho, Dorothy (Jim) Ulichney and Emory (Margie) Lesho.
The family will receive friends Sunday 2 to 6 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Akron. Funeral services will be held Monday 9:15 am at the funeral home and will be followed at 10:00 am by the celebration of a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Matthew Catholic Church, 2603 Benton Street, Akron, Ohio 44312.
