Obituary of Theresa Caston

Theresa Caston, 84, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2014. Theresa was born on March 21, 1929 in Detroit, MI and grew up in Windsor Ontario, Canada. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Cuyahoga Falls. She volunteered for the Juvenile Court for many years. Theresa was very involved with the Ecumenical Movement in Cuyahoga Falls & Akron. The love of her faith made her an inspiration to all that were fortunate to know her. Theresa was surrounded by a loving family and is survived by her devoted husband of more than 60 years, Harry Caston, as well as her many children and spouses, Diane & Kevin Dekany of Akron, Lawrence Caston of Avon, Mark & Susan Caston of Avon Lake, Chris & Robin Caston of Cuyahoga Falls, Mary & Ben Partin of Escondido, CA, John & Laura Caston of Jefferson, OH, Monica Caston of San Rafael, CA, Catherine & Richard Diefenderfer of Naperville, IL, Lisa & Erik Kenning of Anchorage, AK, Caroline Highhouse of Bowling Green, OH, and sponsored son Charles Onyeulo, who was born in Nigeria and now resides in New York. She also leaves her brother Bob (Dotty) DeMeulenaere and sister Laurie Dell in California. Theresa was blessed with many grandchildren & great-grandchildren. Theresa will be remembered for her dedication to her family , her strong will to overcome numerous challenges and her generous and loving spirit. Theresa's family is grateful to Community Caregivers for their loving care. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father James Singler on Tuesday January 7, at 11:00 am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 1905 Portage Trail Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. An entombment of ashes will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Immaculate Heart of Mary.
