Obituary of James A. Brown

GREEN - James A. Brown, 71, passed away Friday, December 27, 2013 at Akron City Hospital after a brief illness. Jim was born August 15, 1942 to Edgar and Julia Brown and had been an area resident his entire life. Jim was a truck driver for Betsy Ross, Peter J. Schmitt and Putnam. He was a member of Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Jim is preceded in death by his stepson Stephen Sczepaniak; brothers Richard and Harold Brown; and is survived by his wife Carol, children Tracey (Frank) Bowman, Troy (Vicki) Brown, Trudy (Tim) Geier and Debra (Chad) Monnott; 19 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; sister Marilyn (Dave) Price. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated TODAY at 11:00 am in Queen of Heaven Catholic Church where the family will receive friends from 10:00 am until service time.
