Obituary of Gerry Scheub

Geraldine M. "Gerry" (Ocker) Scheub (nee Pipes), 75, of Cuyahoga Falls passed away, Thursday, November 28, 2013 in the Acute Palliative Care Unit of Akron City Hospital. Gerry worked for many years at Kippy's Restaurant in Cuyahoga Falls and retired from MacTac in Stow on June 26, 1998.She was active in St. Margaret's Guild at St. John's Episcopal Church in Cuyahoga Falls and thoroughly enjoyed her time "at the lake" with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Virginia Pipes and her nephew Clyde "Butch" Hoffman. Gerry is survived by her loving husband William W. Scheub, daughter Darlene (Gary) Benson (Tallmadge), sons Jack L. Ocker, Jr. (Akron), Donald A. Ocker (Ashland), Michael Scheub (Hollywood, SC), Jeffrey M. Ocker (Cuyahoga Falls) and Thomas S. Ocker (Cuyahoga Falls). She is also survived by her brothers Kenneth Deacon, Michael (Darcy) Pipes, Kenneth (Jeanne) Pipes, Terry Pipes, Steve (Robin) Pipes, Timothy Pipes sisters Joan (Henry) Shoenfelt and Judy Rhinehart. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and a host of nephews and nieces. The family will receive friends on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home MCGOWAN-REID & SANTOS CHAPEL 247 Stow Ave (at 3rd. St., one block north of Portage Trail in) Cuyahoga Falls. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, at 11:00 am, at St. John Episcopal Church 2220 Second St. in Cuyahoga Falls (parking in the Second St. parking deck), where her cremains will be inurned in the St. John All Saints Columbarium.
