Obituary of Joseph Steven Zelenka

Joseph Steven Zelenka, 66, passed away Sunday, October 13, 2013. He was born in Akron and was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and the Catholic Youth Organization. Joseph was an avid rug maker and he loved music and movies. He was preceded in death by his father, George Zelenka; niece, Kimberly Brandl; and infant niece, Angela Brandl. He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth (Treml) Zelenka; brothers, John (Jennifer) and Jim Zelenka; sister, Judy (John) Brandl; and nieces and nephews, Shana and Steven Zelenka and Jeff (Liz) and Nick Brandl. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, 10 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 4019 Manchester Rd. Akron, Ohio 44319. Fr. David Bline celebrant. Private interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be to the family in care of the Anthony Funeral Home, 1990 S. Main St. Akron, Ohio 44301.
