Obituary of Robert P. Washer
Robert Washer, 85, passed away on October 7, 2013.
Born in Akron on May 21, 1928 to the late George and Mary Washer, Bob had been a lifetime area resident. He served his country as a member of the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Bob worked for over 40 years in the Chemical Division at B.F. Goodrich. He was a member of the Wolf Ledges A.C. and the Firestone Park VFW Post 3383.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his sister, Geraldine Reichert. He is survived by his nephew, Ron (Linda) Reichert of Silver Lake; great-nieces, Stacie (Larry) Kelley, Chrissy (Ted) Rusinoff, and Leanne (Eric) Flory; as well as seven great-great-nieces and nephews; friends and caregivers, Sheila Kroah and Jamie Beverlin; as well as many close friends at the Wolf Ledges A.C.
A funeral service will be conducted by Deacon John Green on Friday at 11 a.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home McGOWAN-REID & SANTOS CHAPEL, 247 Stow Ave. (at 3rd. St., one block north of Portage Trail) in Cuyahoga Falls, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Following the service, family & friends are invited to the Wolf Ledges Athletic Club, 556 Sherman St. in Akron, for a Celebration of Bob's Life.
