Obituary of Lulanelle Adair Dente

Complications of long-term illness took Lu's sweet, loving soul from us Tuesday, August 14, 2012. In spite of daunting physical challenges, Lu never lost her fierce love for her family nor her fighting spirit. We find solace in knowing that she is now among loved ones gone before her, and that she can walk again, laugh, and fill heaven with her joyful exuberance. Lu will be remembered by all who knew her for her generous heart and her ability to enjoy small pleasures with childlike delight. Born in Copley, Ohio, Feb. 1, 1937, Lu was raised in Richlands, Virginia before coming to Ohio. She graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School, Hammel Business College, and worked for the Summit County Recorder's Office. After marrying she resided in Cuyahoga Falls. Preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Mary Adair; she leaves behind the broken hearts of her husband of 51 years, Bill Dente; daughter, Mary Kay Dente; sister, Cheryl (Dan) Buie; niece, Danielle Buie; and other nieces, nephews and cousins. Not to be forgotten are her faithful and beloved pets, Wyatt, Chase and Tuxie. We wish to extend the sincerest thanks to the team from VNS Hospice, in particular her visiting nurse, Norma, to Holly from Passport, and especially to Lu's home aide, Dorthea, a true angel who cared for Lu with such kindness and compassion.

Visitation

As Lu wished, cremation has taken place, and an informal gathering is being planned to share memories and to say goodbye. Date and location to be announced. Memorials would be gratefully received by ANTIC Inc.             (Community Theater) or the Humane Society of Greater Akron.
