I had Basil in Spanish class this past Spring semester. He was an exemplary student and a joy to have in class. He always had a smile and from his demeanor you'd never know he was undergoing treatment. I lost my brother to leukemia two years ago and never stopped praying for Basil. It saddens me deeply to know that we've lost another great person to leukemia, but I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to know Basil and see proof that the human spirit is invincible. I never met BJ, but had the opportunity to work with Deanna. What a beautiful girl in and out. That being said, tells us all how loving BJ had to of been. May God place his comfort hands on this beautiful family and friends.
