Obituary of Mary Rose Kubala
Mary Rose (Gyuris) Kubala, 95, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2013.
She was born in Barberton and was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. She was a hard worker and career minded woman. She worked at Ohio Brass during World War II and was an original "Rosie the Riveter". She was an accomplished and successful real estate agent working at Greater Akron, Sanders Home and Krueger Real Estate. She retired in the late 1970's after 40 years of service.
She was preceded in death by parents, Jozsef and Maria Gyuris; first husband, John James Kubala; second husband, Stephen Pilger; and sisters, Elsie McCafferty and Ann Palija. She is survived by son, John Mark Kubala; daughters, Joanne (Dave) Openshaw and Loretta (James) Farkas; sisters, Frances Stazen and Margaret Kezman; sister-in-law, Mary McCallister; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
