Obituary of Wilma M. nee Grisak Malish
Wilma Grisak Malish, 91, passed away Friday, August 2, 2013.
Wilma was born in Trail Run (Robins) Ohio and lived most of her life in Akron and Tallmadge, Ohio. After graduating from Garfield High School she worked at Polsky's and then in the Firestone Tire Accounting Dept. until 1958.
She was a life-long member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, where she was a charter member of the Women's Club, a regular volunteer perohi pincher and participant in baking workshops at the church. She was a member of the Firestone Park Prime-timers and a big fan of local Polka Radio—dedicating polkas to many she knew.
The last 2 years she made her home at Rockynol Assisted Living. Many thanks to the nurses and staff there for taking such good care of mom.
Wilma is reunited in death to husband Theodore Malish, parents George and Mary Grisak, brothers George and Jack Grisak. She leaves daughter and son-in-law Marianne and William Price of Norton; the granddaughter she never had Val Kuzemchak; nephew Nick Grisak of Akron; nephew Walt (Laurene) Malish, niece Patti Malish Nuzum of Tallmadge; cousins Sophia Grisak, Helen Kotter, Dick and Martha Repasky.
Parastas services will be held Tuesday, 7:30 p.m., at the Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Funeral Home, 1990 South Main St. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday at 11:00 at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 755 S. Cleveland Ave. Mogadore, Ohio 44260. Rev. Fr. Nicholas Wyslutsky officiating. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the funeral. Interment will be at St. Nicholas Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, 5 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Nicholas Orthodox Church. (Anthony, Akron, 330.724.1281, anthonyfh.com)
