Obituary of Marjorie Jillian Herget
Jillian Herget, 72, passed away after her battle with cancer on July 30, at Summa
Barberton Hospital.
Born in Goxhill, England on February 16, 1941, to the late Henry & Marjorie Vint, Jillian had been an area resident since 1968. She was a member of the former St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Akron and attended the New Life Episcopal Church in Uniontown. Jillian worked at Macy's Department Store for almost 20 years, retiring in March of 2012.
Jill is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, David of Akron; son and daughter-in-law Jason & Michele Herget of North Canton and Elizabeth & James Martin of Denver, CO. She also leaves behind her grandchildren Cade Herget and Nathaniel & Aidan Martin; sisters-in-law Barbara Williams & Marylou (Bob) Chatman, as well as numerous nieces & nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, at 11:00 AM, at the Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron, where the family invites all friends to attend for one hour prior to the service. A private inurnment will take place at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman next week.
