Obituary of Raymond Anthony Chudoba
Raymond Chudoba, 87, passed away on March 6, 2012.
Born in Akron on February 18, 1925 to the late Victor & Josephine Chudoba, Ray was a lifetime area resident. Ray was a WWII Army veteran and a purple heart recipient, who fought in the Ardennes, Rhineland, and Central Europe. He retired from the Firestone Tire & Rubber Co.
In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by brothers Robert, Edward, and Albert. He is survived by nieces Karen (Basil) Ranier & Carol (Bob) Ostrander of Akron, as well as other nieces & nephews in CA; great-nieces Sarah & Susan Ostrander; his 'adopted family' Marie Fogarty, Carolyn Conjerti, Eddie Fogarty & families.
A memorial service will take place on Saturday at 11:00 am at the Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, where the Kenmore American Legion Post #449 will conduct military honors.
