Thomas Joseph Giordani 'Tommy G'

Thomas Giordani, 71, passed away on July 10, after a courageous 2 1/2 year battle with colon cancer.
Born in Akron on December 25, 1941 to the late Jack & Mary Giordani, Tom had been a lifetime area resident. He was a 1960 graduate of Hoban High School. He worked as a truck driver for Reiter Dairy for 35 years, retiring in 2002. Tom was a member of St. John Episcopal Church in Cuyahoga Falls, as well as the Reiter Dairy Retiree's Club, Teamsters Local #348, was an avid golfer with the Swinging Seniors Golf League. It was said that Tom, 'never met a stranger.'
Tom is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Sandy of Cuyahoga Falls; daughters and sons-in-law Tracy & Chuck Langseth and Beth & Alan Fletcher all of Huntsville, AL and Allison & Chris Hill of Suffield; step-sons and daughters-in-law Jim & Lori Simmons of Akron and John & Sherry Simmons of Cuyahoga Falls; 13 grandchildren & one great-granddaughter; brothers and sisters-in-law Doug & Liz Nabors of Uniontown and Sharon & Dan Schutz of Melbourne, FL, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.
The family will receive friends Friday from 5-8 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, at 11:00 am, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park in Cuyahoga Falls. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Acute Palliative Care Unit at Akron City Hospital 525 E. Market St. Akron, OH 44304.
