Obituary of Ramona Marie Westmoreland
Ramona Marie Westmoreland (Kovalchin), 71, passed away Friday, July 5, 2013 in Venice, Florida.
She was born in Akron and was a member of Queen of Heaven Catholic Church and the Willow Springs Ladies Social. Ramona was a professional seamstress. She enjoyed gardening, walking on the beach, traveling and was learning how to play golf.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Margaret Henley; first husband, Edward Kovalchin; and sister, Sister Rosemary Henley. She is survived by her second husband of three years, Jack Westmoreland; son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Donna Kovalchin; daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and Glenn Leech, Christine and Bryan Kungle and Michelle and William Landi; 11 grandchildren; five great-granddaughters; sisters, Sister Juanita Henley, Patricia Heaton, Yvonne (Ed) Gintling and Marilyn (William) Guinter; and brothers, Richard (Pamela) Henley and Raymond (Mary) Henley.
Funeral service prayers will begin Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at 9:40 a.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home of Green, 4178 Massillon Rd. (at the round-about, corner of Steese and Massillon Roads in Green, Ohio) followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 9, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice and /or the American Cancer Society.
