Obituary of Maxine Mellinger

Maxine Mellinger, 78, passed away on June 12, 2013. Born on January 10, 1935 in Akron to the late Martin & Gladys Mokros, Maxine was a lifetime area resident and a graduate of Garfield High School. She was a member of the Brown St. Church of Christ. Maxine is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, David; children David (Misti), Lynda (Lenny) Chapman, & Mark (Jocelyn); grandchildren Kevin (Elizabeth), Brian, Leah & Sarah Mellinger, and Lyn, Jonathan, Diana and Emily Chapman; great-grandchildren Lucas and Isaac; sister Doris (Ron) Craft, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 7-9PM at the Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. A funeral service will take place on Monday at 11AM at the funeral home, where the family will again receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Vernon Teagarden officiating.
