Obituary of Edward William Conrad

Edward W. "Eddie" Conrad passed away suddenly on February 26, 2012. He was 59 years old. Eddie was born on January 27, 1953, in Akron, Ohio. He was a graduate of Garfield High School, an employee of TruGreen with 21 years of service, and an active member of Firestone Park United Methodist Church. Eddie greatly enjoyed serving the Lord through teaching elementary-grade Sunday School for 22 years. He had an incredible zest for life with a love for golf, Ohio State football, and keeping his friends and family laughing. His gentle spirit will be greatly missed. Preceded in death by his father, Ellis Conrad, Eddie is survived by his loving wife of nearly 23 years, Veronica "Ronnie" Conrad; mother, Virginia Conrad; sisters Teri (Doug) McLeod and Laurel (John) Hill; his faithful husky, Sasha; and many family members and friends, including Brandon Bonnett and Melissa Francis. Calling hours will take place TODAY, 4-8PM, at the Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St.. in Akron. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, 11AM, at Firestone Park United Methodist Church, 250 N. Firestone Blvd., Akron, where the family will again receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Remembrance donations may be made to the Children's Ministries of Firestone Park United Methodist Church.
