Obituary of Rose Starosto
Rose Starosto, 85, passed away on April 15, at the Pebble Creek
Convalescent Center in Green.
Born in Akron on October 28, 1927 to the late Anton & Barbara Heit,
Rose had been a lifetime area resident. She retired from the A&P
Grocery and was a volunteer for Mobile Meals. She was a faithful donor
& supporter of the Red Cross. Rose was a parishioner of St. Francis de
Sales Catholic Church.
In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her husband
Bill in May of 2012; brothers Paul, George, & Joseph Heit and sisters
Mary Zuzolo, Catherine Johnson, Josephine Wendell, Irene Benyi, &
Eugenia Meszaros. She is survived by her children David, Robert
(Debbie), & Richard (Tina) Starosto; grandchildren Jennifer (Woody) Zook
and Bryan (Candie), Mark (Elissa), & Karen Starosto; great-grandchildren
Emily Zook, Jake & Kate Starosto, and Tristan Starosto, as well as many
nieces & nephews.
A special heartfelt thanks to Chantel, Kristie, and all of the staff
at pebble Creek, as well as Alison & Heather from Harbor Light Hospice
for all of the care & support that Rose received during the last days of
her life. She will be truly missed by all of those who know her.
The family will receive friends on Friday, from 5-8 pm at the Anthony
Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. A
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 am at
St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church on Manchester Rd. Interment will
follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions may be made to St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church 4019
