Obituary of Christopher Francis Bolanz

Christopher Francis Bolanz, 49, of Apex, North Carolina died Saturday, April 13, 2013 at WakeMed Raleigh Hospital. Chris was born May 13, 1963 in Los Angeles, CA. He was a graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School and Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas where he received a degree in Communications. Chris was a veteran of the United States Navy and was employed for 20 years with WRAL as a news director in Raleigh. Lord, grant that we may hold dear the memory of Chris, never bitter for what we have lost nor in regret of the past, but always in hope of the eternal kingdom where you will bring us together again. We ask this in the name of Jesus the Lord. Amen. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Henry and Molly Bolanz; uncle and godfather, Nick Bolanz; and cousins, Pam and Devon. Chris is survived by his mother, Mary Lou of Cuyahoga Falls; former wife, Holly Bolanz; daughter, Lea Morgan Bolanz; son, Christopher Robert Bolanz all of Cary, NC; uncle, Bill (Connie) Bolanz; aunt and Godmother, Jane Bolanz; and many cousins and friends in the Akron and North Carolina areas. A funeral service was held Tuesday, April 16, 2013 in Cary, North Carolina with Rev. June Fulton officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, April 19 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, April 20 at 9 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 750 S. Main St. in Akron. Fr. Dan Reed officiating. Interment at Oakwood Cemetery.
