Obituary of Ann M. Collins
Ann M. Collins, 85, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2013.
She was born in Olean, New York, graduated from Nursing School at Peoples Hospital in 1949 and retired from St. Thomas Hospital as a registered nurse. She was a charter member of Allenside United Presbyterian Church where she was also very active. She was an avid reader and seamstress and enjoyed writing poems.
She was preceded in death by parents, Leon and Mabel (Whitmire) Foster; step-father, Delbert Stevens; son-in-law, Michael Goffee; and brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Loretta Foster. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Robert L.; son, David; daughters, Diane (David) Allred, Patricia Goffee and Barbara (Kevin) Groh; nephew, Michael (Cheryl) Foster; grandchildren, Michael (Missy) and Jon (Elise) Allred, Mark (Alissa), Sean (Jennifer) and Ryan Collins and (Kinsey), Sarah (Matthew) Bailey, Carrie Goffee and (Jared) and Colin, Caitlin and Christopher Groh; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Monday, 11 a.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. Rev. Pete McCauley officiating. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park.
