Obituary of H. Elaine Frye
Elaine Frye, 88, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2012 after a long illness.
She was a teacher in the Akron Public School System where she retired from North High School as an Art Teacher. She will always be remembered for her love of all animals. Her dogs, Charlie and Fred whom she would spend many hours with visiting nursing homes and cheering up residents. She always had the best "teas" during the holidays and loved decorating for every holiday season. She had a great love of travel as she spent most of her retired years traveling all over the world collecting some of her favorite things. She was kind, gentle, gracious and always thankful to everyone who sent cards, visited and cared for her. Even up to her last breath she remained gracious and thankful. Thank you to the staff at Pebble Creek Assisted Living Facility for their caring and compassion during her four years she spent with you. She dearly loved you all and was truly grateful for you all, especially Debbie and Chris. Thank you also to the staff at Summit Villa and Hospice of Summa for your love and caring during her time spent with you. Your kindness and care were greatly appreciated!
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Victoria Frye; and sister, Mary Jane Frye. She leaves behind cousins, David and JoAnn Frye of California, Gene and Ruth Frye of New Mexico and Norman and Carole Frye of North Carolina; her best friend and caregiver, Marybeth Hartman of Akron; and friends and neighbors whom she loved spending time with.
