Obituary of William Dolan
William Dolan, 91 fell asleep in the Lord on Saturday, January 13, 2018. He was born in Akron and was a member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church. He retired from Goodyear Aerospace in 1980 and for the next 11 years worked for E.G. & G. Quality Assurance as a quality control inspector at the Kennedy Space Center in Titusville, Florida. Mr. Dolan was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II. He lived in Florida for 35 years. He was an avid card player and sportsman enjoying golf, basketball and bowling where he once bowled a perfect 300 game. He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Mary; wife, Eva; son, Michael John; daughter-in-law, Janet; and sister, Anna LaMonica. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, William, Robert and Barbara and James and Kathy Dolan; daughter-in-law, Myra Dolan; sisters, Marie Karbowicz and Helen Snipes; 9 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Thursday, 11 a.m. at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 755 S. Cleveland Ave. Mogadore, Ohio 44260 where William will lie in state one hour prior to service. Very Rev. Fr. Nicholas Wyslutsky officiating. Interment at St. Nicholas Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, 5 to 8 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Akron, Ohio 44301where a Parastas service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Donations may be made to the church in his memory.
