Obituary of Jack A. Francis
Jack A. Francis, born September 1, 1921, passed away on March 18, 2012.
Survived by wife, Norma; son Robert and wife Nancy and grandson Sam of Derry, New Hampshire; daughter Amy Janke and husband Kerry and granddaughter Meghan Rose of Green, Ohio.
He was retired after 45 years from Bell Telephone Company of Pennsylvania where he had various assignments in out-side plant construction, including four years with the Ballistics Missile Early Warning System. He served as a pilot in the Navy during World War II and the Korean conflict. He was a member of the Silver Eagles Association and continued in the active reserves, retiring with the rank of Lieutenant Commander. He was a member of Lodge # 269 F. & AM, and a 32nd Degree member of the Scottish Rite of Southwestern Pennsylvania.
A memorial service will take place on Sunday, March 24th, at 3:00 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home GREEN CHAPEL 4178 Massillon Rd. (at the intersection of Steese Rd. & S.R. 241) in Green, where the family will receive friends from 2-3 pm.
