Obituary of Robert Eugene Sigman
Robert E. Sigman, Sr., 65, passed away unexpectedly on February 21. Born in Erbacon, WV on January 3, 1948, Bob had been an Akron area resident for over 38 years. He has been a truck driver for over 40
years and was currently employed by HOC Transport. Bob served his country during the Vietnam War as a member of the US Navy. He was a member of the VFW Firestone Park Post 3383, as well as the National Rifle Association. Bob enjoyed hunting pheasant, rabbit, deer,and squirrels, and took countless hunting trips to his cabin in Belmont County, Ohio.
Preceded in death by his mother Anna Ruth Sigman Wolverton, Bob is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Pamela; his children Julie (Mike Jackiewicz) Shaffer & Robert E. (Erin Roth) Sigman, Jr.; grandchildren Abby, Ben, & Chelsea Shaffer, and Elisabeth Jackiewicz.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 4-8 pm, at the Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, at 11:00 am, at the funeral home. Pastor Bob Combs officiating. Interment will follow at East Liberty Cemetery in Green.
