Obituary of Thomas Neven Tipton
Thomas N. Tipton, Sr., a retired Cuyahoga Falls Detective.
Tom was born August 13, 1949 in Barberton, OH, was raised in Cuyahoga Falls and graduated from Falls High in 1968. He entered the US Marine Corps in 1972 and married Linda Ralston that same year. In 1981 Tom became a Cuyahoga Falls police officer and retired as a detective in 1992 due to heart issues that ultimately took his life on April 11th, in Denton, TX, where he had lived for the past 15 years. Tom loved Jesus and was honored to lead two bible studies in Texas. He enjoyed golf and was an avid Cleveland sports fan.
Tom leaves behind his wife Linda; son and daughter-in-law Tom Jr. and Elizabeth; the pride and joy of his life were his three granddaughters Katherine, Emily, & Caroline;
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 11 am until 12:30 pm, at the Anthony Funeral Home MCGOWAN-REID & SANTOS CHAPEL, 247 Stow Ave. (at Third St., one block north of Portage Trail in) Cuyahoga Falls.
