Obituary of Elizabeth Dove DeLuca

Elizabeth Dove DeLuca passed away peacefully on February 12, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. Elizabeth (Libby) was born in Mather, Pennsylvania to Ira and Jesse Roberts on October 8, 1923. She was the oldest of ten children. Libby will always be remembered for her greatest gift, her heart. Caring for and giving to her family was the greatest pleasure in her life. She gave selflessly and loved unconditionally. She devoted herself to her beloved husband for 68 years and spent every second showering her children and grandchildren with affection. Her sacrifices and love will never be forgotten. Her wonderful meals, her fantastic pies and her warm and welcoming hospitality will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure to sit at her table. Preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Jesse Roberts; baby sister, Marlene; and brothers, Bill and Harlan; she is survived by her loving husband, Phillip; children, Judy (Tom) Honmyhr and Jim (Julie) DeLuca; grandchildren, "her pride and joy", Danny (Stacy), Abbie and Jake DeLuca; her sweet great-grandchildren, Daniel and Kylie DeLuca; step- grandchildren Michelle (Ben), Paul (Amy) and Brent; and 5 step-great-grandchildren. Libby also leaves her sisters, Maxine, Mary, Joy and Patty; brothers, Gene, Ira and Wayne; brothers-in-law, Johnny and Luciano; special friend and sister-in-law, Renata, "her" Robin; nieces and nephews; special friends; and her dog, Dusty that brightened her days. Special thanks goes to her daughter-in-law Julie for all the loving care she has given Libby throughout the years and grandson Danny for bringing absolute joy to her life. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial service will be held Saturday, 5 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S.
