Obituary of Paul Rand May

Paul R. May, 82, went home to be with the Lord on December 7, 2016. Born in Wellston, OH on October 23, 1934 to the late Monterville & Florence May, Paul had been a lifetime area resident. He was a member of the Cement Finishers & Cement Masons Local 109 and retired in 1996. Paul served his country as a paratrooper in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his sister Cheryl Stafford & great-grandson Andrew Jacob Howell. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Mary; son Randy May & daughter Kim (Mark) Schwiegershausen; step-son John Gentner; grandchildren Jennifer (Pete) Van Kooten & Kelly Howell; great-grandchildren Kaitlyn Jane Howell, Ryker John Van Kooten, & Juliana Grace Van Kooten; brothers Monte May, Forrest (Marie) May, Bruce May, & Earl Thomas; twin sister Polly Stump. A funeral service will be held on Monday, 11 am, at the Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Rev. Monte May officiating. Interment with full military honors will take place on Tuesday, 9:30 am at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
