Obituary of Eileen Elizabeth Myers

Eileen E. Myers, loving mother and grandmother, passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at the age of 89. Born in Barberton, Ohio on July 24, 1927 to the late Charles and Mary Oser; Eileen was an Akron area resident her entire life. She was a graduate of Barberton High School. Mrs. Myers worked as a secretary for B & W in Barberton and then for Firestone Tire and Rubber Company in Akron retiring to raise her family. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Firestone Park. She was an avid collector of post cards and memorabilia participating in many shows throughout the years. She also enjoyed traveling with her late husband Bill all over the country including Hawaii. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mary (Bricker) Oser; husband, William E.; and infant sister, Elizabeth Oser. She is survived by her sons, Mike (Pam) and James (Glenn); and grandchildren, Brian (Kelly) and Christopher. Funeral service will be held Friday, 12 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Akron, Ohio 44301 where the family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of service. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
